      • Sagent senior software developers work with technologies such as Java, .NET and SQL. Our staff plays a key role on a DHS project which serves as a prototype for Agile-SCRUM development projects within all of USCIS.

    • Network/Cyber Security: Sagent executes comprehensive and integrated security solutions that deliver the protection and tools required to effectively stop the latest malware attacks and intrusions. Sagent personnel secure and manage the information-driven world with endpoint security, messaging security, web security, data protection and security management solutions.
    • Security Policy: Sagent provides ongoing Certification & Accreditation as well as Information Assurance support to the Department of Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Centers across the country.
      • Certification & Accreditation (C&A) Accomplishments:
      - Sagent SMEs use Host Based Security Systems (HBSS), Antivirus, BlueCoat, Q1 Snare (log server), multiple IDS and scanning tools to ensure that the RTD&E network is compliant and efficient while ensuring end user performance satisfaction is maintained.
      - The Sagent team uses Retina, SCAP, ACAS and NMAP tools for automated scanning. Locally created scripts and security templates are used to ensure all systems are IA compliant and to formally document the systems security posture.
      - Sagent SMEs analyze current government regulations and proposed regulatory changes of other automated or manual systems that could impact the information systems.
      • Information Assurance (IA) Accomplishments:
      - Sagent network engineers/administrators continually look for ways to improve the performance and security of the RDT&E/SRDT&E networks and update network configurations to meet current IAVA and STIG requirements.
      - Sagent’s IA guidance has also been focused on achieving DITSCAP C&A compliance and preparing for technical aspects of transitioning from a legacy Navy environment to the NMCI environment. Our IA staff are trained and certified to DoD 8570 requirements.
      - Our team works closely with Crane’s ISSM and security staff as well as Crane’s RDT&E staff to assist in continued development of the Intrusion Detection Architecture and in identifying security risks and exposures was well as refining security polices, standards and guidelines. They conduct IA analyses as well as develop Intrusion Detection Architecture for NSWC Crane networks. This includes conducting vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
    • Cyber Training: Sagent supports the Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA) by developing and delivering training courses in the areas of Cyber Counter-Intelligence, Cyber Forensics, Network Intrusions, Incident Response and General IT for approximately 2,000 students per year. Some selected accomplishments include:
      • Sagent personnel facilitating the teaching of several different courses from an introductory level to a curriculum for certified forensic examiners.
      • Sagent trainers developing course material as well as delivering content online and in the classroom. Courses can range from three days to two weeks in length.
      • The Sagent team created multiple Virtual Machines (with attached physical, write-blocked hard drives) that they then uploaded to Cloudshare for use in distance education courses.
      • Our team put together an inventory-control system for all the responder’s track equipment. As a result, this system was put into place on all tracks.
